I've used 3G on my way down to NJ and for about a week while there, and its blazing fast! Yeah I have noticed some lag when using the keyboard that wasn't there in the first iPhone, but that's due to a bug in the 2.0 firmware (it's happened to the old iPhones and iPod Touches too that upgraded to the 2.0 firmware) so that should be resolved with the next firmware release. Other than that I adore my new one though, I used the GPS constantly to get around NJ for my friends Jesse & Kristen's wedding and it was a life saver (even though google maps was wrong a couple of times).
