Welcome to Euicho.com! My name is Thomas Gagnon. I’m a Computer Scientist, Programmer, Network Specialist, Photographer, and Web Designer. The home-page of Euicho.com is, of course, my blog, along with random other interests of mine. I enjoy writing about technology, software, politics, the web and life in general (especially the geeky bits).

About Euicho.com

  • Euicho is my Korean middle name, given to me after my Great Grandfather Euicho Chung.
  • Euicho.com has been up since July 2004. It averages about 40 unique visitors a day. Before that It was xskx.org/euicho for a year, and before that we lived at the now defunct xmbjx.com, hosted by my good friend Jason B.
  • I’m a 26 years old and am from the beautiful State of Maine.
  • I live by 3 main philosophies in life:
    • Treat others as you wish to be treated.
    • Patience and humbleness are virtues, strive to attain them.
    • Refrain from drinking, smoking, doing drugs, and having promiscuously sex, commonly known as the straight-edge or sXe lifestyle. To learn more about straght-edge, go here and search for “Subject: 1. About straight-edge”, or just google it. Straight-edge isn’t about the label, or alienating those whoes beliefs differ from your own. All of my friends but 4 drink at least occasionally, and thats cool with me. Its about doing what I think is best for my body and mind.
  • I’m attending the University of Maine at Orono, finishing up my 2nd degree.
  • I live with my wonderful girlfriend of over 8 years, Amme May. She’s basically the glue that holds me together and I’d be a different (in a bad way) person without her.
  • We have 2 extremely quirky cats that provide endless entertainment.
  • I work at The University of Maine Orono as a Network Technician and am currently redesigning the MSLN.net website.
  • For fun I like to snowboard, take photographs (I’m currently trying to sell some of my work), Rock Climb, read Science Fiction novels, hike, play hex-games, and design websites
  • I owe my love for all things computer, strategy game, and Sci-Fi related to my Uncle Winchell D. Chung jr.
  • I support our troops, but not our president. Improper armor, improper transport, cutting of veteran’s benefits here at home, lying to widows about cause of death, W not attending a single military funeral and Rumsfeld too busy to personally sign G.I.’s death notices? Please bring our troops home, alive, now!
